With the Innova 1000, you can clear most fault codes (check engine, ABS, SRS) as well as reset oil light. You are also able to view live data on various modules and are able to check the tire pressure, transmission temperature, oil life, maintenance schedules, and more.

When the Innova 1000 is plugged into your vehicle's OBD port, you should see a green LED light up. If it does not, your vehicle most likely has an accessory fuse blown. Replace that blown accessory fuse to get the tool to power on.

No. Innova’s code readers/scan tools are designed to retrieve information that is stored in your vehicle’s computer. With the exception of initiating the EVAP system Leak Test, O2 Test, and Non-Continuous Test (for vehicles that support these tests), the tools do not command, control, or otherwise, enter information to your vehicle. It is not possible for these tools to damage your vehicle’s electronic system.

It does not need batteries as the device is powered by the vehicle itself.
