Connection issues with the DS200 can occur for several reasons. The following is a list of reasons why connection issues happen and how to resolve them:

1) Bluetooth is not enabled on phone or tablet. Please try turning your Bluetooth settings on.
2) Bluetooth permission has not been allowed. Go to your settings to allow permission. Alternatively, you can reinstall the app and give the app permission when prompted.
3) Tool disconnects even though it connected before. Try closing the app and reopening it. If the tool still refuses to connect, ty rebooting your phone/tablet. If the issue persists, please contact tech support.

Remove the boot, use a Philips head screwdriver to loosen the screws on the bottom of the case, and pull the two halves apart. Grab the circuit board near the connectors and pull it out of the top half of the enclosure. Be careful not to bend the board. If you can, only touch the edges of the board. Change the batteries and the fuse.

Once you've put batteries in the DS200 and downloaded the DiagDR App from your favorite app store, you don't have to change the Bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, or computer. As long as you installed the app, gave it all the permissions it asked for when you installed it, and have Bluetooth turned on, the "Sync" screen in the app will automatically show the DS200. If you still don't see the DS200 in your sync menu, try tapping the "Sync" button at the bottom of the sync screen.

The DS200 is the most sensitive tool you have for measuring things. Because of its sensitivity, the DS200 can measure voltage, resistance, and amperage that other tools can't. Ghost voltage is what you are seeing. When the DS200 is not hooked up to a circuit, it has a ghost voltage that floats around. The ghost voltage can range from -500 micro units (volts, ohms, amps) to 1-2 milli units (volts, ohms, amps), depending on how much electrical magnetic field disturbance is near your work area.

Once you put the DS200 on a circuit, it will give you very accurate readings and measurements. Ghost voltage is good and shows that a tool is very accurate. When you see micro volts, ohms, or amps, keep in mind that 1 micro unit =.000001 base unit. If you see 120 micro volts, that means.000120 volts, which is still "zeroed." Please change your auto-ranging to manual-ranging if you don't want to see these small measurements.

Up to 8,000 samples per second. This lets you measure most parts and sensors, up to and including the fuel injectors.

The DS200 uses Bluetooth 4.0 low energy protocol. This allows the DS200 to be seen by the app and provide a much more seamless user experience for you.

The speed of the DS200's Bluetooth doesn't change the measurements. All measurements are done onboard and sent in packets to the app. The information won't be lost. There may be a small delay in the first transmission of data, but the readings are live as far as they are concerned. Please note that measurement speeds can be changed, and if the tool is measuring at a low rate (please see "How fast can DS200 measure? "), the readings will look slow and clunky. Just speed up how fast you measure to see "live readings" in realtime without waiting.

Yes. The DS200 is a full TRMS meter that can turn off TRMS and give a measurement of the true waveform. On the graphing screen, you can see square waves and all other kinds of waves. *Note that you have to turn on "Waveform" to see square waves and turn off TRMS measurements. Also, the DS200 could be called a DSO, but we don't classify it as such because we don't call it an oscilloscope.
