To read trouble codes:

1. Connect the Innova 1000 to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
2. Turn on the vehicle's ignition.
3. Follow the in-app (RepairSolutions2) screen instructions to scan for trouble codes.
4. After scanning, the device will display any stored trouble code. If your check engine light is on, we tell you the primary DTC responsible for it as well as how to fix it.

Yes, the Innova 1000 can read & clear trouble codes. After identifying and addressing the issue, you can use the tool to erase the codes from the vehicle's computer.

Please note that unlike pending or confirmed codes, permanent codes cannot be erased by any OBD2 scanner. It is mandated by the government to stay that way. Permanent DTCs are not necessarily a sign of issues but rather a way of retaining past fault code information. They will go away on their own once it passes all its diagnostic tests and monitors.

The Innova 1000 is compatible with most OBD-II compliant vehicles, typically those manufactured from 1996 onwards. It supports a wide range of car makes and models.

The Innova 1000 supports OBD2 parameters such as RPM, short/long term fuel trim, mass air flow, engine coolant temperature, throttle position, and intake manifold absolute pressure.

All data is retrieved in live time and can be viewed in graph or table form. It does not support OEM live data.

If the Innova 1000 is not turning on:

1. Ensure it is properly connected to the vehicle’s OBD-II port. You should see a light lit up.
2. Check the vehicle's battery to ensure it has enough charge.
3. Inspect the device and cables for any physical damage.
4. Try connecting it to another vehicle to rule out any issues with the OBD-II port. A broken accessory fuse may be the issue if it works on another vehicle.

The device currently supports vehicles manufactured between 1996 and 2022, with updates for 2023 vehicles in progress. Once the update is available, you'll be notified to update the app - free of charge.

Innova contracts authentic OEM vehicle data from manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Toyota, and so on. This requires a huge engineering effort on our end to accurately process new diagnostic information into our devices. Some OBD2 companies do not obtain OEM data legally, which may result in your scanner being bricked.
