No, unfortunately, the recorded live data can only be viewed, graphed, and played back on the device itself.
All of our Innova diagnostic tools will work on heavy duty vehicles as long as they are OBD2 compliant. You can check whether the vehicle is OBD2 compliant by checking the emissions label on the roof of the hood or near the radiator.
We always recommend connecting the tool to your vehicle first, before turning on the ignition or starting the vehicle. So long as this procedure is followed, you can use the code reader on the vehicle while it is running.
IMPORTANT: If it is necessary to drive the vehicle while observing the data on the code readers display, ALWAYS have a second person to help you. One person should drive, while the second person observes the data on the tool.
Yes, the tools are still able to establish a successful connection with a vehicle that cannot crank up and start. If your vehicle has no power however, our tool will not be able to establish a connection to the vehicle since our tools require power from the vehicle to successfully connect.
