In modern vehicles, advanced safety systems are becoming increasingly common, offering enhanced protection and confidence for drivers. The Forward Collision Alert (FCA) system on the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox is designed to improve driver awareness and safety by providing timely warnings of potential frontal collisions. This system helps drivers react promptly to avoid or mitigate accidents, making it especially valuable in busy traffic or highway conditions. This feature not only enhances safety but also contributes to a more relaxed and focused driving experience. This article provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to use and customize the FCA system in your 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.

The Forward Collision Alert (FCA) system is designed to help reduce the risk of front-end collisions by providing timely warnings. If your vehicle approaches another vehicle too quickly, the FCA ativates a red flashing visual alert accompanied by rapid beeping sounds. Additionally, the system displays a steady red visual alert when following another vehicle too closely.
The FCA can detect vehicles up to approximately 197 feet (60 meters) ahead and operates at speeds above 25 mph (40 km/h).
Note:
WARNING:
FCA warnings will only activate if the system detects a vehicle in front. A green vehicle-ahead indicator on the instrument panel confirms detection.
