“I’m definitely not one to leave reviews, however I’m extremely thrilled with this scanner. I’ve been having an on and off check engine light on my 2018 Silverado 1500 since I bought the vehicle in 2021. Usually it only comes on during the Minnesota winter, so having to drive to Autozone or bring it into the dealership is a real pain when it’s -15° out.
Getting the scanner and app set up took literally one minute. Captured everything I need from the Vehicle information to the MIL DTC and other stored codes. Some have said the dongle is cheaply made, which might be true, but what difference does it make when it’s discrete and clean. What matters is the ability to hold a connection (no issues), reliability, and that it functions correctly- all of which seem to be true.”

The problem is they automatically added a free trial of their premium service to my order - which I didn't ask for. And with travelling I've not been checking my emails so I missed the email that they had automatically signed me up for their premium service (which I never asked for!)And now they have billed me $99.99 for that service even though I never activated my account and have not even seen the unit yet. So I downloaded the app, signed up, cancelled the subscription and it says I can get a full refund within 30 days but the 'refund' button I see now I've cancelled the service doesn't work. Worst experience ever! Buyer beware!!”
“I can't recommend anyone buy a FIXD, they charge a subscription fee to check emissions readiness. This is completely unacceptable, it costs them nothing to have this feature, an in app purchase would be barely acceptable, but a recurring charge is absurd.”
“my experience with Fixd: Purchased the OBD sensor in 2/24, I was automatically charged the $99 fee for "premium",I disputed the charge and it was refunded but not promptly. I placed the unit in my trunk for future use, fast forward to March of this year when a check engine light came on, I opened the previously unused Fixd case and attempted to use the sensor, it wouldn't work, after several emails to customer service at their insistence i tried it in a different vehicle, still wouldn't work. I ended up taking the first car into a local mech. who plugged his OBD in and he ran a report no problem. I've explained this in an email asking that Fixd refund or at the very least replace their defective device. NO RESPONSE!!! Also, they have no customer service phone desk so it is impossible to talk to a live human. FIXD SUCKS!!!”
