Innova 5410: Price & Feature Overview

SMOG / Drive Cycles

If you live in one of the SMOG-mandated states, it’s important to complete your drive cycle before getting a SMOG check. By doing so, it can save you tons of time.

The following vehicle systems are available to check:

• MIS - Misfire Monitor
• FUE - Fuel System Monitor
• CCM - Comprehensive Component Monitor
• EVA - EVAP System Monitor
• 02S - Oxygen Sensor Monitor
• HTR - Oxygen Sensor Heater Monitor
• EGR - EGR System Monitor
• CAT - Catalyst Monitor

Our tools will let you know whether your vehicle is able to complete a drive cycle. If more testing is required, these monitors will start blinking. If there are pending codes to be tested, a yellow LED light will show up. If there are no problems, a green LED Light will show up.

Even better, our tools are equipped with something called Auto Re-Link. This functionality ensures that your vehicle's monitors undergo an automatic "refresh" approximately every 30 seconds. In practical terms, it allows you to conduct drive cycle procedures and observe real-time results, eliminating the need for aimless driving. Resets

With this scanner, you’ll be able to reset the battery, oil light, and other service lights.

Service Tests

With this scanner, you’ll be able to perform a battery/charging system test.

Reading & Clearing Codes

Because it is capable of performing an all system scan, you’ll be able to read & clear most codes (check engine, ABS, SRS, TPMS, etc.). But it doesn’t end there.

All Innova scanners come with equipped with the following features:

• Code Priority: Shows you the primary DTC that’s causing your check engine light to pop up. This helps you prioritize fixes, rather than fixing every single retrieved DTC.
• Code Severity Alert: Shows you how severe the retrieved DTC is and whether or not it’s safe to continue driving.

What The Innova 5410 Is NOT Capable Of

As much as it’s important to know about what the Innova 5410 can do, it’s also important to be aware of what it can’t do.

OEM Live Data

The Innova 5410 will not be able to read OEM live data. In other words, if you’re looking to read live data on the following parameters, you’ll need to look for a higher-tiered scanner:

• ABS
• SRS
• TRANSMISSION
• TPMS

Currently, the Innova 5610 supports OEM live data.

Bi-Directional Controls & Special Functions

If you’re looking to actuate vehicle components or perform special functions like steering angle rest or ABS bleeding, you’ll need to look for a higher-tiered scanner.

Is The Innova 5410 Worth It?

My personal recommendation would be to first analyze what your needs are. Do you need a scanner that’s capable of scanning all systems? If that’s all you need, then yes the Innova 5410 may be worth the purchase.

On the other hand, would you ever find yourself in need of utilizing OEM live data? Are you looking to perform calibrations and routines yourself? If so, upgrading to the Innova 5610 may be more worthwhile.

A: No, the device can be used anytime & anywhere without cloud access. Only time the device requires internet access would be for firmware updates.

Q: Do I have to use the RS2 app with the Innova 5410?

A: No, our app is completely optional to use and is not required.

Q: Can I use the Innova 5410 outside of the USA?

A: The tool will only work in the United States and Canada. It will not work outside of those two countries.

Q: How accurate is the diagnostic data?
