The speed control system uses buttons on the steering wheel to manage your speed:

  • SET (+): Sets or increases the speed.
  • SET (-): Decreases the speed.
  • RSM (Resume): Restores the previously set speed.
  • CNCL (Cancel): Temporarily pauses the speed control without erasing the set speed.

How to Operate Speed Control

Basic Controls

1. Turn it On: Press the ON/OFF button. An amber light in the instrument cluster shows the system is active.

2. Set Your Speed: Accelerate to the desired speed, then press SET +. Take your foot off the accelerator, and the system will maintain your selected speed. A green light turns on to indicate it’s engaged.

Note: When driving on steep hills, the vehicle's speed might change briefly:

  • If your speed increases while going downhill, you may need to use the brakes to slow down.
  • If your speed drops by more than 10 mph (16 km/h) below the set speed while climbing uphill, the system automatically turns off.

Disengaging Speed Control

You can temporarily turn off the system by tapping the brake pedal, clutch pedal (for manual transmissions), or pressing CNCL (Cancel).

The previous speed remains saved, so you can resume it later.

Note: If you use the clutch to disengage, engine speed may increase momentarily, which is completely normal

Resuming a Set Speed

Press RSM (Resume) to return to the last saved speed.

Increasing the Set Speed with Speed Control System

To increase the set speed:

  • Press and hold the SET + button until the vehicle reaches the desired speed, then release.
  • To increase speed in small increments, press and release SET + for approximately 1 mph (2 km/h) per tap.
  • Alternatively, accelerate to the desired speed using the accelerator pedal, then press and release SET + to set the new speed.

Reducing the Set Speed with Speed Control System

To reduce the set speed:

  • Press and hold the – SET button until the vehicle slows to the desired speed, then release.
  • To decrease speed in small increments, press and release – SET for approximately 1 mph (2 km/h) per tap.
  • Alternatively, apply the brake or clutch pedal (if equipped) until the desired speed is reached, then press SET + to set the new speed.

Turning Off Speed Control Completely

Press OFF or turn off the vehicle ignition.

Note: Turning off the speed control system or ignition erases the saved speed.
