Introduction
The exterior mirrors on the 2015 Hyundai Veloster are essential for ensuring proper visibility and safe driving. These mirrors allow drivers to have a clear view of the areas around the vehicle, especially when changing lanes or reversing. Proper adjustment of the exterior mirrors is crucial for maximizing visibility and minimizing blind spots, ultimately improving safety and convenience while driving. This article provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to effectively adjust the exterior mirrors on your 2015 Hyundai Veloster L4 1.6L.
How to Adjust the Exterior Mirrors
Overview
Your vehicle is equipped with both left and right outside rearview mirrors. These mirrors can be adjusted remotely using the remote switch. The mirror heads can also be folded back to prevent damage during an automatic car wash or when navigating through narrow streets.
Warning:
- Make sure to adjust the mirror angles before starting to drive.
- The right outside rearview mirror is convex, meaning that objects seen in the mirror appear closer than they actually are.
- To determine the actual distance of vehicles behind you when changing lanes, use your interior rearview mirror or rely on direct observation.
- Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is in motion. Doing so can lead to loss of control, potentially resulting in an accident that could cause death, serious injury, or property damage.
Mirror Adjustment

The remote control mirror switch lets you adjust the position of both the left and right outside rearview mirrors. To adjust either mirror:
- Ensure the ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position, or that the engine is running.
- Push the switch (1) to R or L to select the right or left mirror.
- Press the corresponding point on the mirror adjustment control to move the selected mirror up, down, left, or right.
Once the adjustment is complete, return the switch to the neutral (center) position to avoid accidental adjustments.
Caution:
- The mirrors will stop moving once they reach the maximum adjustment angles, but the motor will keep running as long as the switch is pressed. Avoid holding the switch longer than necessary, as this can damage the motor.
- Avoid adjusting the outside rearview mirror by hand, as it may cause damage to the mirror.
Folding the Outside Rearview Mirror
To fold the outside rearview mirror, hold the mirror housing and fold it toward the rear of the vehicle.
