Introduction
The sunroof of the 2015 Hyundai Veloster is designed to enhance the driving experience by providing natural light and fresh air, adding both comfort and functionality to your journey. Operating the sunroof is intuitive, ensuring that passengers can easily adjust it for ventilation or a panoramic view. The system includes a straightforward control mechanism that allows for smooth opening, closing, or tilting of the sunroof, offering a convenient solution for customizing your cabin environment. This article provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to operate the sunroof of your 2015 Hyundai Veloster L4 1.6L, ensuring seamless and efficient use.
How to Operate the Sunroof
If your vehicle has a sunroof, you can operate it by sliding or tilting it using the sunroof control lever located on the overhead console.
The sunroof can be opened, closed, or tilted only when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

Note:
- In cold and wet climates, freezing conditions may prevent the sunroof from functioning properly.
- After washing the vehicle or during a rainstorm, make sure to wipe off any water on the sunroof before operating it.
- The sunroof cannot be tilted when in the slide position, but it can slide while in the tilt position.
Caution:
- Avoid moving the sunroof control lever once the sunroof is fully opened, closed, or tilted, as it may cause damage to the motor or system components.
- Ensure the sunroof is completely closed when leaving your vehicle. If left open, rain or snow can leak inside, damaging the interior and increasing the risk of theft.
- Never adjust the sunroof or roller blind while driving, as it can lead to loss of control and result in an accident, causing death, serious injury, or property damage.
Sliding the sunroof
Open the sunshade before opening or closing the sunroof.
To open or close the sunroof using the manual slide feature, pull or push the sunroof control lever backward or forward.

Automatic reversal
If an object or part of the body is detected while the sunshade is closing automatically, it will reverse direction and then stop.
The auto-reverse function will not activate if a small obstacle is caught between the sunroof sash. Always ensure that all passengers and objects are clear of the sunroof before closing it.

Tilting the sunroof

- Avoid extending your face, neck, arms, or body outside the sunroof while driving.
- Ensure that your hands and head are clear and safely out of the way before closing the sunroof.
Caution:
- Regularly remove any dirt that may build up on the guide rail.
- Opening the sunroof when the temperature is below freezing or when it is covered with snow or ice could result in damage to the glass or the motor.

To close the sunroof glass with the sunshade:
- Push the sunroof control lever forward until the sunroof is fully closed.
- Once the sunroof is closed, push the sunroof control lever forward to automatically close the sunshade.
