How to Operate the Child-protector Rear Door Lock
Warning: To avoid the risk of children falling out of the vehicle and sustaining serious injuries or even death if they open the rear doors while the vehicle is moving, always engage the rear door safety locks when children are present in the vehicle. This prevents them from opening the doors from the inside.
Step 1: Open the rear door.
Step 2: Rotate the child safety lock on the rear edge of the door to the locked position (1). Once engaged, the rear door will remain closed even if the inner door handle is pulled.
Step 3: Close the rear door.
Note:
- To access the rear door, simply pull the exterior door handle (2).
- Even if the doors are unlocked, the rear door won't open using the inner door handle until the child safety lock on the rear door is disengaged.
