Caution Regarding Interference with Electronic Devices

  • Individuals with implantable cardiac pacemakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemakers, or implantable cardioverter defibrillators should avoid proximity to the smart key system antennas. The radio waves emitted by the system could interfere with the functioning of these medical devices. If needed, the entry function can be deactivated. Contact your Toyota dealer for information on the frequency and timing of the emitted radio waves, and then consult your doctor to determine whether disabling the entry function is necessary.
  • For users of other electrical medical devices (aside from the devices listed above), it is recommended to consult the device manufacturer regarding its performance in the presence of radio waves. These waves may have unintended effects on the operation of such devices. For further information on disabling the entry function, please contact your Toyota dealer.
